Posting and Applying

Of course. Keep in mind that the amount of opportunities you can list varies depending on your membership plan.

You can delete both applications and messages. However, it is not guaranteed that the user you sent the application to hasn’t already read/opened it.

If your opportunity has expired it means it won’t be visible on the website for anybody but you. It will still be accessible and editable in your Profile section. In order to activate it again you have two options:

  1. Renew it. If you click on “Renew” the offer will be visible again as it is.
  2. Delete it and create the same or a similar offer from scratch.

Applications appear both on Employers’ and Applicants’ end in the “Messages” section of their Profile.

Of course you can 🙂

Yes. You can feature your Post by clicking on the Star icon next to the corresponding listing in the “My Listings” section of your Profile.

You are absolutely allowed to do that. On Dancefolio you can let dancers know how you want them to apply. There’s two ways:

  • Directly on Dancefolio: dancers share their resume link with all the requested material with you so you can check their artistic profile and see if it’s a good match for your project/company
  • Outside of Dancefolio: you can also let dancers apply regularly outside of the platform, on your website, form or email. So you can manage the audition process your way.

Flexibility is what the dance field needs and what we will always offer here.

We totally understand. You have control over what is public and what isn’t. You can have a public profile to be discovered, but we also offer features like private resume links—so you can share your specific details only with the people you choose (like when applying for an audition). In general, there are three types of content on Dancefolio:

  • Profiles: they are always public so you can get discovered by more people in the dance industry and increase your chances of finding new jobs, connections, opportunities and partnerships. Think of it as a public LinkedIn or Instagram profile.
  • Listings: they are always public as they consist of dance opportunities that should be available to anyone in the dance field. Think of it as the public auditions and job notices you can find on company websites.
  • Resumes: they are always private but they can be viewed by those who have the direct link to it. Think of it as a “private video” on YouTube.

Don’t worry, we’ve got your back. We’re building this to be as intuitive as possible, but if you ever have a question, our support team is just a message away. We’re here to help you navigate the platform so you can focus on what you do best—dancing and creating.

You can contact us even from here:

We believe in supporting the arts financially, too. Our platform includes tools to help facilitate scholarships for students and donation options for projects. We want to help money flow to where it’s needed most in our community.

It’s streamlined to save you time. When you see a listing you like, there will be a clear “Apply” button or specific instructions from the organizer. Because your profile is already set up with your details and media, applying is often just a few clicks rather than drafting a whole new email from scratch every time.

Depending on the profile who listed the opportunity, you might need to apply on Dancefolio or on their own website/form.

Posting is simple. Navigate to the Add new (+) section, fill in the details—time, location, style, and level—and hit publish. We’ve designed the form to ask for the exact info dancers need to know, so you don’t have to worry about forgetting the details.
