As a dance teacher, choreographer or dance event planner, you are probably wondering what is the best time to send an email. It’s super important to send emails with a good timing to increase the open rate and the click-through-rate. The CTR is a fundamental indicator of the success of your email. If you want people to click on the links in your email you need to increase those chances in every possible way.

What is the best time to send an email?

It depends BUT there are a lot of studies proving there are days where the open rate is higher. Your type of business as well as the type of customers you are addressing your emails to.

While the best time to send an email is not universal, there are for sure moments when it’s NOT good to send an email.

When you shouldn’t send an email:

  • public holidays
  • evenings (especially on Friday)
  • weekends
  • Monday mornings
  • late night
  • early morning

When you should send an email

In 2021, Moosend analyzed 10 billion emails sent through their platform and found that emails sent on Thursdays had the highest open rates. Anyways, other studies also confirmed that Tuesdays are another good day to send an email. This is probably because on Monday the email inboxes are filled with emails received during the weekend, so your email won’t be read first.

Mornings aren’t always the best choice. For example, if you have a dance studio, your students’ parents are going to read the emails regarding your recital during the evening or the late afternoon. Sending them an email about your show during the morning, means having an open rate equal or lower than 2%. In other words, they will probably forget to open it.

So, B2B and B2C emails should definitely have two different timings and behaviors. You should always consider the length of the typical working day of your target personas and their routines.

There are also other ways to communicate with your students and attendees, for example by using an instant messaging system. Some ways are more formal than others. In order to avoid the dispersion of resources, you should both use formal and informal channels of communication. Dancefolio offers an instant messaging system you can use specifically for what concerns bookings and events, so you can have everything in the same place.

For the other communications regarding other areas of your business you can use emails, WhatsApp and other social media. But keep in mind, every channel should be specific for the kind of message you are sharing.
