Kentucky Ballet Theatre was created in 1998 and is Lexington’s premier professional ballet company. Governed by a Board of Directors, the organization performs at the Lexington Opera House, the Pam Miller Downtown Arts Center, Woodland Park for Ballet Under the Stars, Moondance Amphitheater, and also in surrounding communities such as the

Mountain Arts Center in Prestonsburg, Button Auditorium at Morehead State University, and the Center for Rural Development in Somerset, Kentucky. The KBT Academy is an integral part of the organization, offering disciplined, classical ballet training for students of all ages.
