Founded in 1990 by James and Jane Carter, Dance Academy USA (DAU) began as a one-room studio focused on inclusivity, community, and family. Over 34 years, it has grown into one of the most respected dance programs in the San Jose Bay Area, recognized by Dance Teacher Magazine as a top private studio.

Housed in a state-of-the-art facility in Cupertino, DAU has served over 100,000 families across Silicon Valley, offering 200+ weekly classes in styles including Ballet, Hip Hop, Jazz, Contemporary, Tap, Ballroom, Acro, Musical Theater, Pilates, and Zumba—making it the most comprehensive dance program in the region.
