Audition Requirements:
Must be 18 or older for Company Audition
All in-person company auditions are by invitation only and will be for consideration for a company position. Submissions will be reviewed beginning January 1, 2026, and selected dancers will be sent invitations to take company class in Oklahoma City in 2026 on a rolling basis.
Artistic Staff will not consider OKCB II and Trainee positions at the company auditions. Dancers wishing to audition for Oklahoma City Ballet’s Trainee Program or OKCB II will be required to attend Oklahoma City Ballet’s Summer Intensive to be considered for those programs.
Information regarding the Oklahoma City Ballet Summer Intensive audition material can be found on our Summer Intensive page. An audition fee is required for all non-company Summer Intensive auditions.
Video submissions through the above link are required to attend all of our company auditions.
Please read the guidelines below carefully including the FAQ’s below. Videos missing any of these elements will not be considered. (Must be a working link)
Class footage should include the following:
Barre work
Center Adagio
Right and left turns, En Dehors, and En Dedans
Petite and Grand Allegro to both sides
Men: double tours to both sides
Men: turns in second (choose side)
Women: Fouettes (choose side)
Contemporary Solo (either in studio or on stage)
And at least one classical variation (either in studio or on stage)
Videos should be no longer than 15 minutes in length and no older than one (1) year. Dancers that have partnering work already filmed or are currently working with a partner may include this in their submission. Please be sure to grant all appropriate permissions to view all materials.
All videos will be reviewed starting January 1, 2026.
Deadline for video submission is April 1, 2026.
All submissions will receive a reply by May 1, 2026. Please do not inquire about acceptance status updates until this date.
