About
Fluid Frames was launched out of a need for accessible dance photography for professional and pre-professional dancers in the Houston area. As a professional dancer, owner and founder, Emily Roy, guides each session to ensure every photo has the dancer’s technique at the forefront. We are a team of two (get to know us below) who carefully curate photoshoots between outfit, location, and movement to ensure clients receive original, body positive, and dynamic photos.
Emily Roy, founder of Fluid Frames, is a Belhaven University BFA graduate whose professional dance career spans Louisiana, Texas, and Washington D.C. She has been featured in 225 Magazine, The Advocate, VoyageHouston, and the Houston Chronicle, and has performed at major venues including the Wortham Theater Center and the Kennedy Center. In 2020 she partnered with photographer Ruben Escobar, whose background in marketing and media led him into dance photography. Their creative collaboration evolved into Fluid Frames Dance Photography, now a leading name for dancers across Texas. Emily continues to dance and support the Houston community while Ruben photographs HSPVA seniors, dance companies, and corporate clients, bringing dynamic imagery to every project.
