Steps on Broadway Academy – Summer Intensive

Supplement your dance training at The Steps on Broadway Academy’s Pre-Professional Summer Intensive!

In this program, dedicated dancers ages 10-18 will experience the high caliber training of our Pre-Professional division. Learn from The Steps on Broadway Academy faculty and esteemed guest artists in an atmosphere that promotes outstanding artistry, strong technique, and a sense of community.

Featuring a diverse curriculum, students will leave the intensive, stronger, more versatile, and ready to enter the new dance season with increased strength, power, and passion. They will participate in technique classes in a variety of styles and work with renowned choreographers in a rehearsal process. Each session ends with an in-studio showcase for friends and family.

Participants are selected by Executive Director, Joe Lanteri and The Steps on Broadway Academy Director, Jennifer Kreichman. Eligible students may be invited following participation in the The Steps on Broadway Academy Summer Intensive.

The Elite Dance Intensive offers outstanding pre-professional dancers ages 14-18 the unique opportunity to participate in a curated selection of open classes at the renowned Steps on Broadway studios. Students train daily in a variety of styles, including ballet, modern, contemporary, and jazz taught by our esteemed faculty. Each cohort of dancers engages in an exclusive choreographic workshop with an industry professional, culminating in a live studio showing.

Past EDI dancers have had the opportunity to take part in classes led by Jerry Mitchell, Ellenore Scott, Krystyna Resavy, Heather Hawk, Kate Loh, Jessica Lee Goldyn, Yosmell Calderon and Shanna Irwin, and created an original pieces choreographed by Jourdan Epstein, Jon Bond, Anthony Lomuljo, and Georgina Pazcoguin.
